连北村在江门市鹤山市古劳镇中部，距镇区4千米，共8条自然村，有礼山、岗咀、上坑等；村名因位于连城之北而来，是广东省第二批“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村（桂花鱼）[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
连北原属连城乡，1953年分出，因在连城北面而得名。村民的先祖在明代从南雄迁到龙口镇的那白村，之后移居此地[1]。1958年设连北大队，1983年称连北乡，1986年称连北管理区，1998年起为连北村民委员会[1]。
地理环境[edit]
下六河自西向东流过村北，水泥公路通往沙坪市区[1]。
经济[edit]
2009年全村1467人，旅居海外和港澳台的乡亲约1500人。村有耕地71公顷、鱼塘22公顷，种水稻、花生、甘蔗，养塘鱼和白鸽。原连北小学出自旅港乡亲杨氏兄弟（杨明标、杨明深）的捐助[1]。2021年9月，连北村入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，品种为桂花鱼[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，连北村名列2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2023年4月，进入2022年度「广东省乡村治理示范村」创建名单；2023年5月，获评2022年度广东省卫生村[1]。
