余村是遂溪县乐民镇的行政村，2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1950年设余村乡，1953年为初级社，1955年为高级社，1958年改设余村大队，1983年改管理区，1986年分出余村村委会，1989年复为管理区，1999年重设村民委员会至今[1]。
典型村培育[edit]
据乐民镇政府的年度工作介绍，余村是镇里重点培育的典型村：2024年用第一批乡村振兴典型村培育资金500万元，完成4个项目，拓宽升级道路3.5公里、硬化道路3公里，新装路灯180盏，并整治了200多米沿街农房立面[2]。村里还召开乡贤座谈会，筹到捐款用于道路亮化[2]。余村也在2021年1月公布的湛江市2020年度全市文明村中[1]。
