白沙村位于蓼沿乡西北部，村内原有大片空地，多为白色沙土，村名由此而来。[1]

村子距乡政府约3公里，总人口1319人，305户，辖5个自然村，其中下坑、翠林、云头山为少数民族自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1960年起归丹阳公社管辖；次年（1961年）在蓼沿公社下设白沙大队。村委会1984年设立，1996年搬到新址。[1]

文化遗存[edit]

岩桂洞里的摩崖石刻属连江县县级文物，列在第十批（详见蓼沿乡条）。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，白沙村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。2024年1月，该村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
