白沙社区是福建省福州市连江县敖江镇下辖的社区，位于县城东北侧，镇政府驻地即在本社区。[1][6][7]

敖江镇全镇辖4个社区、13个行政村，白沙社区是其中与县城相接的一个社区。[3][4]

地名与历史[edit]

社区地面多白色沙土，名称由此而来。[1]

社区的起源可追溯到南宋。1984年由村改称敖江镇白沙村；至2006年，白沙村委会转为居民委员会（博雅地名网社区页作2007年）；2009年成为白沙社区居委会。[1][5][6]

概况[edit]

社区辖区面积约45公顷，现有耕地约500多亩。东面与县城江滨路相接，西面连接县城百凤生活居住区，北靠丹凤东路，莲荷东路直通社区。[1]

全社区913户、3432人（未注统计年份），在外华人华侨约600多人，另有外来务工人员约1200多人。设居民代表52名，下设24个村民小组，党员110名。[1]

荣誉称号[edit]

社区先后获得「市级文明村镇」「市先进基层党组织」「市民主法治村（社区）」「市先进示范社区」等称号，并为福州市新农村建设第二批「双百工程」示范村。[2]
