历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间称社坪；1954年改作首约农业社，1958年改作首约大队，1983年改作首约乡，1987年改作首约村委会，1998年起为首约村民委员会。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村情介绍称，全村户数550，人口2340，农田500亩，山林4000亩，山林以青竹为主，另有沙糖桔1000亩；村集体靠出租厂房和门店取得租金。[1]2026年1月，首约村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
铜鼓岗墓群在首约村，西临绥江，东靠广宁至广州的公路，墓分布在一座孤立山岗顶部北侧，1977年发现并清理。[1]
