西岸村隶属信宜市镇隆镇，为镇上的行政村之一。位于镇隆镇西北，辖11个村民小组，在册379户、1650人，总面积约11平方千米，耕地750亩，种水稻、香蕉。[1]
地名由来[edit]
因村在西江河的西南岸而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国时期这里属十三堡，当时的信宜县政府曾设于此。新中国成立初期编为十二村，1952年立西岸乡；1958年的西岸大队包括今西岸、西塘两地，1961年两地分设；1999年起称西岸村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，西岸村以优质稻入选「第二批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2023年5月，获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
