历史沿革[edit]
苹岗村由郑、邓两姓自开平迁来所立，时为南宋德祐元年（1275年）。到明洪武年间（1368—1398），李善孚的次子、三子又分别立东日村和月堂村。[1]1961年东日、月堂、苹岗各设大队，1984年三村合设一个乡级单位。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网载，截至2009年底，村有15个村民小组，817户，2597人。村民以种养业为主，养鸽户约400户，养塘虱户210户，养四大家鱼约130户。[1]镇上的“兰苹集市”是兰花产业发展基地，2023年的规划提出以此推广崖门兰花。[2]
