历史沿革[edit]
据《广东省顺德市地名志》，南宋淳熙年间（1174至1189年），一户吴姓人家在村北设庄，村民习惯叫它庄之头，故名庄头。[3]1952年设乡，1958年改作大队，1983年又改回乡，1987年起叫村，1990年成为管理区，1999年改庄头村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
村有耕地2256亩，其中鱼塘45亩，工业区约400亩，设有76家企业，以五金加工为主；共1191户，常住四千二百人，外来人口近一千五百，分为4个村民小组。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，庄头以年桔入选「第二批广东省一村一品一镇一业专业村」；2021、2022两年上了淘宝村名单；2026年3月又被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
