村南与揭阳普宁市南径镇青洋山村接壤，面积0.61平方千米，耕地534.7亩多，共402户、2323人（年份未注明）。2013年工农业总产值1383万元，工业部分为1108万元，农业部分为275万元，农民人均的纯收入为7865元。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清乾隆年间（1736至1795年），先人从玉窖村分出，在原村后面另建房屋居住，因此叫后望；1958年编为生产大队，隶属贵屿公社。1984年玉窖乡成立，后望与玉窖、新厝同属其内，1988年后望单列为管理区，1999年称村委会。[1]
