村面积约0.63平方千米，耕地265.6亩、林地184.8亩；2013年底共254户、1542人。当年工农业总产值1685万元，工业部分为1487万元，农业部分为198万元，农民人均的纯收入为5324元。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子地处山坳，两旁有石，得名石夹。清乾隆三年（1738年），先人从丰顺县迁来定居；1958年编为生产大队，此后依次改为乡（1984年）、村委会、管理区（1988年），1999年重又称村委会。[1]
2021年12月，石夹村获评“2021年广东省卫生村”。[1]
