历史沿革[edit]
村名的由来很直接：它在练江北岸，过去靠划船摆渡。明永乐年间（1403至1424年），先人来此立村，称渡头；1958年编为生产大队，此后依次改为乡（1984年）、村委会、管理区（1988年），1999年重又称村委会。2004年，华东、渡头两村委会合并，新的村委会设在原渡头村。[1]
渡头村入选2022年淘宝村名单，2017年10月入选第一批广东省卫生村。[1]
