历史沿革[edit]
下坪一带在1949年设有农会，其后先后改为初级社（1954年）、高级社（1956年）和大队（1961年）。[1]1983年政社分开，成立下坪乡；1988年称管理区，1998年12月管理区撤销，改设村民委员会，一直沿用。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
全村700多户、约3100人，以水稻和黄烟为主；党员70人，“两委”干部6人（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份）。[1]介绍中提出今后利用土地发展果业和油茶、丛生竹。[1]2023年4月，下坪村入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
