郊区村是雄州街道下辖的行政村，在南雄城区西北的城乡结合部，因处城市郊区而得名。[1]村内有5个自然村、14个村民小组，居民约5654人（博雅地名网所载，未注明年份），收入主要来自建筑业、蔬菜种植和外出务工。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
郊区一带在1950年设有农会，其后先后改为初级社（1954年）、高级社（1956年）和大队（1961年）。[1]1983年政社分开，成立郊区乡；1988年称管理区，1998年12月管理区撤销，改设村民委员会，一直沿用。[1]
现状与荣誉[edit]
村委会有6名干部，党员80名（含预备党员4名）；介绍称村办公条件较差、集体经济薄弱。[1]2019年9月，郊区村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」。[1]
