水南村是雄州街道下辖的行政村，紧靠南雄市区，国道323线穿村而过，因位于浈江南岸而得名。[1]村内有6个村小组、670户，东到主田的谭塘坪，南到河南村的金叶花园，西到国道323线，北到浈江的三洲老河。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
水南的前身是1954年的初级社，后来在1956年转为高级社，1961年成为大队。[1]1983年政社分开，设水南乡；1988年称管理区，1998年12月起由村民委员会管理，沿用至今。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
村有耕地194亩、鱼塘450亩、林地1214亩，以养鱼、养猪、养鸡为主，并扶持“五黑一绿鸡”和杨梅种植的“一村一品”。[1]村委会干部5人，党员47人。[1]2023年4月，水南村入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
