古母洞村位于洛阳镇政府驻地西南方向，东面隔河与大布镇相望，统计用区划代码440232106209。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的说法是：当地有一片没有水的小田洞，“无”与“母”读音相近，“古”则指山村。[1]1949年后先设古母洞乡，1958年为大队，1983年设乡政府，1986年成立村委会，1989年称管理区，1998年重设村委会。[1]村原属古母水镇，该镇2005年并入洛阳镇。[2]
人口民族[edit]
全村山林20353.5亩，耕地474亩，水田128亩，6个村民小组、65户、397人；有水利设施3处和小型山塘1座，乡村公路2条，其中长3.5公里的白石埂公路仍是泥土路（资料所载，约2008年）。[1]2019年9月，古母洞村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位名单」。[1]
