下围村的前身是1958年组建的下围大队；1983年改为下围乡，1986年转为下围村委会，1989年设立下围管理区，1999年又名下围村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，下围村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
