富源村位于莫河线上，西与封开县七星一带相接，面积约25平方公里，是德庆县较偏远的村之一。^[1]1998年经德庆县人民政府批准设村民委员会，因驻地在富源村而得名。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前归同正乡，解放初归第五区。1958年起设富源大队，1983年建乡政府；此后名称数次更替（1987年村民委员会、1990年管理区），1998年起称富源村委会。^[1]

下辖16个村民小组，约2900多人，距圩镇约5公里，以山地为主。村里引入桉树种植，并利用水力资源发电，以增加集体经济收入。^[1]
