岭头社区属广东省东莞市桥头镇，位于镇的中部，总面积1.5平方千米。社区原为岭头村，村名来历见于博雅地名网：元代一位风水师的后人迁来此地立村，村址在一座高墩上，因「墩」与「岭」同义，又称岭头。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，1949年此地属丰乐乡，1955年至1957年先后组成初级和高级农业合作社。1958年公社化后称岭头大队，1984年改为岭头乡，1987年改为岭头管理区，1998年设岭头村委会。2005年村改居，改设岭头社区居委会。[1]

社区概况[edit]

镇政府网站称，社区户籍人口1563人，其中村级股东1204人，外来人口在八千人以上。2025年，社区集体经济全年收入约3635万元，集体资产约2.8亿元。同年社区拿出1600万元，收回东莞大东电业有限公司一处约3.1万平方米的物业及土地。[2]

社区保有赖氏宗祠和大围门等历史文化资源，社区广场占地约4万平方米，广场上铺设了二十四节气、十二生肖等文化石雕。[1][3]
