东华镇是广东省清远市英德市下辖的镇，在英德市的东南端。它南面紧挨佛冈县，东面是横石水、桥头与白沙三镇，西侧为沙口与望埠，北侧通向翁源与曲江。[1][3]

镇内辖4个社区居民委员会和24个行政村，共有634个村（居）民小组。全镇由原大镇、鱼湾、黄陂等镇合并而成，于2004年6月设立。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，这一带的建制始于明洪武二年（1369年）。清康熙四十四年（1705年），此地分属英德县的黄塘都大镇图与象冈都长布图；道光十六年（1836年）设大镇乡和长布乡，光绪十二年（1886年）又设黄塘乡和文光乡。[3]

抗战期间，东江纵队北江支队北上英德作战，1945年便在黄塘乡设起北江东岸抗日动员委员会，属县级抗日民主政权。新中国成立后，黄塘乡和文光乡归英德县第三区管辖，1952年3月又划出英德县第十二区与第十四区。[3]

东华之名取东、华二字：地处英德市东部，境内又有华桥茶场。[3]2003年3月，英华镇并入大镇镇，设立英华社区。[5]2004年6月18日，大镇、鱼湾、黄陂等镇撤销，合并设立东华镇。百度百科称合并的是三镇，博雅地名网则把英华也计入，作四镇。[1][3]

据博雅地名网，东华属革命老区，其中鱼湾是最早成立苏维埃政权的地方。[3]

东华镇位于英德市东南部，总面积据维基百科与博雅地名网为538.4平方千米，百度百科则作558.69平方千米。京珠高速穿过镇域三十余公里，沿线设有大镇站和鱼湾站两处互通。[1][2][3]

百度百科载，东华镇2019年末户籍人口为114597人。博雅地名网依第七次全国人口普查结果，称全镇人口约8.74万人。[1][3]

据英德市政府网2011年的报道，2010年东华镇新引进外资企业35家，规模以上工业产值达49.1亿元，增幅144%，固定资产投资为33.4亿元。清远市华侨工业园设在该镇。[4]

2019年全镇农林牧渔及服务业总产值为16.47亿元，规模以上工业总产值为73.47亿元；同年固定资产投资13.7亿元，税收1.04亿元。[1]

博雅地名网列出东华镇的民俗文化有英德闹花灯与英石假山盆景传统工艺，特产有英石、英德红茶和西牛麻竹笋。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2024年3月，东华镇获「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」称号；2026年5月，东华镇入选「广东省第一批开展现代化建设的中心镇」名单。[3]
