东升村属连南瑶族自治县（广东省清远市）寨岗镇，在镇政府东面，离镇政府约5公里，离县城约30公里。东面与阳山县黎埠镇相邻。[1]

东升之名取“生活如日东升”之意，改名于1980年，当时正值实行土地承包。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

旧时此地属阳山。1949年12月编为四村，归寨岗乡；1953年1月起改由连南管辖。[1]

1961年成立四村大队，隶寨岗公社。1980年10月改称东升大队，1983年改为东升乡，归寨岗区；1986年改为东升村，划入寨岗镇；1988年成为管理区，1999年管理区改为村，东升村民委员会随之设立。[1]
