山塘村是清新区山塘镇下辖的行政村，村委会位于镇政府北面约1公里处。村内有水田和鱼塘，也有清远鸡养殖基地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是村委会靠近山塘墟。[1]

1953年设山塘乡，1958年改为大队，1984年再称乡，1986年成为村委会，1989年改为管理区，1998年又回到村委会的建制。[1]

2021年12月，村里获广东省爱卫会授予的「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2023年5月，胜二村和胜三村获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
