东升村是连平县忠信镇下辖的行政村，位于忠信镇的最东边。村庄原名小柘，2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原为小柘。小柘紧靠大旗山脚，地势不高，呈坡状，山脚下有一片生长旺盛的柘林。吴、邱、张、何等先民来此，认为土地肥沃，便定居开垦，并以柘林取名小柘。1960年代，小柘改为东升大队。[1]

2019年10月，村庄入选2019年广东省卫生村名录。2021年1月，河源市文明委把「2020年度河源市文明村」称号授予东升村。[1]
