新联村是义都镇下辖的行政村，村名由两个村名各取一字合成。2004年，务礼村委会并入新联村委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，这里是义都乡下的一个管区，解放初称义都乡新联村。1958年，它在水贝公社名下设新联大队，1962年起转入义都公社。1983年春，新联乡归义都区公所管；村委会设于1987年，1989年改为新联管区，1999年村委会重设。[1]

2004年，经龙川县人民政府批准，务礼村委会并入新联村委会，沿用至今。[1] 新岭村在新中国成立前也曾属这里的新联村，1963年以后才分出去。[2]

荣誉[edit]

新联村名列2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布），又于2023年5月由省爱国卫生运动委员会评为2022年度省卫生村。[1]
