竹坑村在行政上归广东省汕尾市陆丰市南塘镇管辖，是镇内24个行政村委会之一[1]。2026年1月，名列「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

竹坑1952年设乡，属第五区（南塘区）；1959年成为竹坑大队。1975年划出南塘公社，归东桥公社，1983年东桥公社撤销，回到南塘区并改称竹坑乡；1987年改设村民委员会，属南塘镇；1994年称管理区，1999年复称村委会，沿用至今。[1]
