桃园社区在东海街道中心地带，东面是红星村，南面与六驿村相接，北到324国道与宽塘村交界，面积1.5平方千米，户籍人口2498人[1]。社区分桃园、白地沟、莲花、新兴4个居民小组，辖区内有荔园小学和益智学校[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1987年4月，桃园居委会自红卫居委会分出设立；1994年成为桃园居民管理区，到1999年又改回居委会，2002年起称桃园社区居民委员会[2]。2019年9月，社区入选广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单（2018年度）[2]。
