炎龙村在陆城西郊，辖月洲围、大乡、新寨、径仔、高厝、洛洲、鳌围7个村民小组，户籍人口14145人，面积约4.2平方千米[1]。辖区内有炎龙小学、彭伟中学、南兴小学、鹏德学校，以及炎龙综合市场和东驿市场[1]。
经济[edit]
村的主要产业有水稻、蔬菜、番薯和农副产品深加工，村民借城乡结合部的位置，多从事运输和第三产业[1]。
历史沿革与荣誉[edit]
炎龙乡设于1949年，1956年扩为炎龙大乡，1959年实行公社化，成立炎龙公社，1978年称炎龙生产大队，1986年改农村管理区，1987年4月改村委会，1994年再称农村管理区，1999年起为炎龙村村民委员会[2]。2021年4月，炎龙村列入汕尾市2020年度市级文明村镇名单[2]。
名胜古迹[edit]
村内的华光帝庙是陆丰市文物保护单位[3]。
