宽塘村在东海街道西北，河图岭西南，螺河东岸，与市区相邻，地势低，耕地肥沃，被政府网站称为街道里纯农业的村庄之一[1]。面积1.26平方千米，耕地1095亩（水田534亩、旱地561亩），另有山地450亩；辖宽塘、宁阳、新铺3个村民小组，户籍人口5293人[1]。
历史沿革与荣誉[edit]
博雅地名网称，村后来设管理区，1999年改称村委会[2]。该页的介绍说村东有福字山，西临螺河，当时有680户、4000多人[2]。2020年12月，村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「广东省卫生村」（2020年度）称号[2]。
