历史沿革[edit]
博雅地名网称社区居委会建于1954年4月。名称几经更替：1953年称迎安居民区，“文革”时改为红卫居民区，1987年4月称红卫居委会，1994年改红卫居民管理区，1999年恢复居委会，2002年起为红卫社区居民委员会[2]。早年的一份介绍还写到，辖区曾是原陆丰市委、市政府的所在，有陆丰贸城、红卫和红星商贸市场等，常住人口曾记为24406人，面积记为6平方千米，与现在政府网站的数字相差甚远[3]。
设施与荣誉[edit]
辖区内有红卫学校和东海街道社区卫生服务中心（启东医院），粮所院内是陆丰市红色革命教育基地的旧址[1]。2020年12月，社区被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「广东省卫生村」（2020年度）称号[2]。
