新华村在河口镇南溪片中部，下设14个村民小组，有五百多户。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新华本属华门大队，1976年分设新华大队，此后与对门再度合称华门乡，随后又各自成队。1984年3月起，大队体制取消，仍归华门乡；此后村一级的称呼依次是村委会（1986年）、管理区办事处（1990年）、村民委员会（1999年）。[2]

概况[edit]

村里人口3500多人，耕地2500亩。村道已全部硬化，新华小学经过改扩建；村里对荒山造林达4000亩，种荔枝、龙眼等水果。[1] 2019年9月，新华村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2026年1月，被评为「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
