三新村在新陂镇西北，处在麻岭河与西山河之间，是长约1.5千米的狭长平原村庄，下辖18个村民小组。博雅地名网记其在册578户、2137人，总面积1.58平方千米，耕地1198亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名取自原有的新群、新星、新元三个村，各留一个“新”字。[1]李氏始祖屋在村内；1953年民主建政时称三新人民政府，1955年成高级社，1958年为三新大队，1961年一度分为新群、新庄、新星、新联4个大队，1963年10月并为新庄、新联2个大队，1984年4月改乡人民政府，1989年9月为管理区办事处。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

诒谷堂是三新村的三堂四横四角楼围龙屋，据族谱建于清乾隆四年（1740年），为当地李氏十三世祖李明史（李元纲）所造；建筑占地4763平方米，2009年8月10日被兴宁市公布为特色古民居。[2]

荣誉[edit]

三新村种丝苗米，2020年8月列在广东省农业农村厅公布的第一批专业村名单中；2026年3月，广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇名单里也有该村。[1]
