龙洞村是梅州市五华县周江镇下辖的行政村，位于周江镇西面，距镇政府20多公里；据村情介绍，辖23个村民小组，在册609户、3200人，耕地约1225亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

由九条、余洞、河洞三个村合并而成，各取字义，称龙洞[2]。

解放之初编入五华县第七区，名为龙洞小乡；1956年起成为龙洞高级社，归中友乡；1958年人民公社化时单独立为大队；后来名称几度更替：1984年设龙洞乡政府，1989年改作龙洞管理区，至1999年定为龙洞村委员会，2003年冬再并入周江镇[3]。
