新良村是梅州市五华县周江镇下辖的行政村，位于周江镇东北面；据村情介绍，辖20个村民小组，在册425户、2160人，村域面积10平方千米，耕地约901亩[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村名来自约两百年前迁入聚居的邓姓人家：新建村寨取「新」字，「良」字则寄托对美好生活的期望[2]。
1949年归五华县第七区，与冰坎、甘茶两村合称新槛小乡；1956年起成为新良高级社，隶中友乡；1958年人民公社化时单独立为大队，属周江公社；后来名称几度更替：1984年设新良乡政府，1989年改作新良管理区，至1999年定为新良村委员会[3]。
