狮潭村是梅州市五华县周江镇下辖的行政村，属周江镇；据村情介绍，辖9个村民小组，在册238户、1415人[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
村名合取「狮里石」「黄古潭」两个自然村的名字，以资纪念[2]。
解放之初编入五华县第七区，与龙堵合为一村，称龙兰小乡；1956年起成为狮潭高级社，归中友乡；1958年人民公社化时单独立为大队；后来名称几度更替：1984年设狮潭乡政府，1989年改作狮潭管理区，至1999年定为狮潭村委员会[3]。
