甘茶村是梅州市五华县周江镇下辖的行政村，属周江镇；据村情介绍，辖25个村民小组，在册415户、2359人，村域面积8平方千米，耕地约1630亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

该地因出产茶叶，原名「甘輋」，「茶」与「輋」读音相近，改称甘茶[2]。

新中国成立初期属周江乡；1958年将甘輋大队改称甘茶大队，隶周江人民公社；此后周江镇于1980年改设区公所，甘茶生产大队在1984年改为管理区，直到1999年才称村民委员会[3]。

经济[edit]

村里种植水稻、番薯、芋头，以茶叶为特色收入[1]。
