新二村在华城镇北部，原属新桥公社，按新桥一带的序数排第二而得名，2003年并入华城镇。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，新桥一带的村按序数排列，此村居第二，故名新二。1960年属华城公社，1970年起划入新桥公社，称新二大队，1981年撤社后仍叫大队，1999年成了新桥镇的新二村委会，2003年随新桥镇并入华城镇。[1]

概况与荣誉[edit]

村辖12个村民小组，页面所载在册605户、2585人，耕地1154亩，土地总面积9.3平方公里。2023年2月评上五华县的2022年度文明村镇，另在2019年9月被省里列为2018年「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]
