塔岗村位于华城镇东部，辖区内有全国重点文物保护单位狮雄山遗址和省级文物保护单位狮雄山塔，村名即得自山上明代古塔。[1][2][3]

地名由来与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，镇东南二公里的狮雄山上，明万历四十年（1612年）建有古塔一座，村因此得名塔岗。解放前为县城附城乡的村；1958年人民公社成立后称塔岗村；1961年春，塔岗被分设为塔下、新塔、高坑、社岭四个大队；1984年公社撤销后称塔岗乡，当年8月改称管理区，1999年恢复为统一的塔岗村委会。[1]

狮雄山遗址[edit]

狮雄山遗址在塔岗村，年代为秦至西汉早期，发现于1982年，范围约22万平方米。考古人员在这里找到壕沟和建筑遗迹，认定它是一处有防御设施的聚落，即秦及南越国时期「定楬道」的官署所在。省政府1989年将其列为省级文物保护单位；国务院2019年把它列入第八批全国重点文物保护单位；2022年它又入选「广东省十年十大重要考古发现」。[2]早期曾据县志记载认为这里是南越王赵佗所筑的行宫「长乐台」，2011年至2013年第五次发掘出土封泥等物后，该说法被纠正。[4]

狮雄山塔[edit]

狮雄山塔是明万历四十年（1612年）所建的砖木楼阁式塔，平面八角，共九层，塔高35.5米，占地136平方米；清乾隆五十九年（1794年）和民国十五年（1926年）各修缮一次。1997年遭雷击损毁，1998年12月起重修，1999年9月竣工。该塔1989年列为广东省文物保护单位。[3]

概况与荣誉[edit]

村辖34个村民小组，页面所载在册1329户、5329人，耕地2716亩，土地总面积5平方公里。[1]2023年2月评上五华县的2022年度文明村镇，2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
