历史沿革[edit]

一条山溪自南向北流过村前，故名横坑。[1]最早是1951年的汤南区横坑乡，之后随汤南乡、汤南公社的变动调整，1961年划入埔寨公社为横坑大队，1999年定为横坑村委会。[1]

人口经济[edit]

村辖3个村民小组，在册686户，人口3980人，总面积3平方公里，耕地1440亩。[1]种水稻、青榄、龙眼，养牛、兔、鸡、猪，据博雅地名网收益较好。[1]
