历史沿革[edit]
村中有一条发源于上井的小溪流过，两岸水田很多，但河床低，村民要在上游筑坡开圳引水，引水路很长，须越河过坑，便用竹木打通中空做成引水槽，称为“涧”。旧时涧水长流是该村一景，村名由此而来。1949年属中心乡，1958年设涧田大队，1983年改称管理区，1999年起称村委会。[1]
