历史沿革[edit]

旧时村中有原始森林，古木参天，老虎常在黄昏出来伤人，故称虎坑。后来村里矿产丰富，山上的柴、炭、竹、木经水路运往潮汕，收入可观，生活较为宽裕，先人便改称富坑。1958年设富坑大队，1987年改称管理区，1999年起称村委会。^[1]

2019年6月，富坑村列入第五批中国传统村落名录。^[1]
