新联村是梅州市梅江区西阳镇所辖的一个行政村。由原来的湖洋尾村与聚英村联合为一村，取联合一新之意，称新联。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年，新联大队成立，归梅县西阳公社管理；1960年白宫另置公社，该大队改隶白宫公社。1983年改称新联乡，隶梅县市白宫区；1986年设村民委员会，1989年易名新联管理区，归梅县市白宫镇；1998年再改称新联村委会，仍属白宫镇。2003年白宫镇并入西阳镇，该村随之划归西阳镇；2012年9月23日西阳镇自梅县改归梅江区管辖，该村亦属梅江区。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内有联芳楼、棣华居、牛角屋等客家民居，均与旅印尼华侨有关。联芳楼为中西合璧的两层围屋式民居，兄弟二人丘麟祥、丘星祥合资建造，1928年起规划，1934年建成，列为广东省文物保护单位。[2]棣华居由丘宜星、丘添星兄弟建于1915至1918年，三堂四横一围屋，2002年7月17日由省政府公布为省级文物保护单位。[3]牛角屋又名丘氏大夫第，丘开麟、丘湘麟兄弟自光绪元年起兴建，1884年建成，围龙一端接山脊成牛角状，据专家考证这种牛角形围龙屋仅此一处。[4]
