大布村是惠东县平山街道下辖的行政村，村民多为明代迁来的谭氏后人，2005年12月自大岭镇划入。[1]

地名与历史[edit]

这里原是一大片荒埔，本叫大埔，当地方言里“埔”与“布”同音，后来写作大布。[1]

明正统年间（1436—1449年），谭氏从惠阳县迁到此地，开始有村。1958年归平山公社，称大布大队；1984年与谭公、六德、星合合并为谭公乡。1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕27号文设大布村委，1990年称管理区，1999年称村。2005年12月经粤民区〔2005〕61号文划入平山街道。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，大布村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年9月入选第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，产品是蔬菜。[1]
