菱湖村属博罗县观音阁镇。黄氏祖先黄宥公迁此定居、建祠堂，祠堂旁的湖里种菱角，村名由此得来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清代归苏州巡司署，民国归河源县；建国后，1950年一区观音阁乡，1951年观音阁镇，1952年二区观音阁乡，1955年杨村区公所，1956年观音阁乡，1959年观音阁人民公社菱湖大队。1983年属观音阁区，1986年为菱湖管理区，1999年成立菱湖村民委员会。2024年3月，菱湖村命名为广东省卫生村（2023年度）。[1]
