张新原是张力大队的一部分，1974年另立大队；其后一度与新岗合组乡（1983年），1996年重新分出管理区，1999年成为村民委员会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村中大部分人姓张，原叫张栗；与栗岗生产队分开后另立行政村，称张新。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，张新村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」之中。[1]
