新星村是德庆县凤村镇的行政村，坐落在象牙山脚下，总人口2029人，分8个村民小组，土地约12.3平方公里，距圩镇10公里，是镇里较边远的山村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名寄托了村民的新生活如星星般多彩的愿望。[1]1956年，双郭乡归并到凤村乡；人民公社化后的1958年10月有了新星生产大队。1998年10月，管理区（1987年设）又让位于村民委员会，乡的建制则始自1983年9月。[1]

经济[edit]

山多田少，林业资源丰富；所辖狮子岗、柑子坑两村地处偏远。[1]
