双栋村位于莫村镇北部、省道东侧，距莫村圩镇3.5公里，面积约10平方公里。[1]1998年设村民委员会，村名的由来是：建村之初只有两间茅屋，起初叫双樑，后改写为双栋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年公社改区，这里成为莫村区辖下的双栋乡，区改镇后归莫村镇；村民委员会的名称自1998年沿用至今。[1]

经济[edit]

辖12个自然村，约2380多人。村里以丘陵山地发展柑桔，沙糖桔是主要产品，另有养鱼、养猪等养殖业，并开展卫生村创建。[1]
