古有村在荔怀公路东侧，面积12平方公里，下辖5个村民小组，2050多人，距县城68公里，距莫村镇7公里。[1]村名有两说：一说附近有古城池遗址，自古即有村落；一说为壮语，「古」指村、「有」指窑，即窑村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
古有在1951年至1973年是大队，1974年至1979年称管理区，1980年至1987年设乡政府，之后再次称管理区，直到1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里引入瓷砂开发，增加村集体收入。2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
