古楼村在莫村镇西南部，临省道，距莫村圩镇3公里，距德庆县城57公里，下辖8个村民小组，约1350多人。^[1]1998年经德庆县人民政府批准设村民委员会，因驻地为古楼村而得名。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1983年至1986年12月为古宪乡，1987年起为古宪村委会，1991年至1997年为古楼管理区，1998年1月起为古楼村民委员会。^[1]

以丘陵山地为主，山上种桉树，山边种贡柑、沙糖桔，水田种水稻；因远离县城，村集体收入较少。^[1]

近年的荣誉有：2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2024年4月进入省第一批乡村振兴示范村创建名单；2026年1月被评为省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。^[1]
