永光社区是怀集县怀城街道的社区，位于县城城区。1958年起县府把这里的永光大队划为蔬菜产区，农民由此成了菜农。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

永光原与河南、永安、文化三地合编为城关大队（1970年），次年独立成永光大队；其后依次改为乡（1983年）、管理区（1984年）、居委会（1998年），1999年起为社区居民委员会。[1]

地名由来[edit]

成立大队时，取「永放光芒」的寓意命名。[1]

经济与荣誉[edit]

社区辖6个居民小组、330户、1539人，以工商贸易、餐饮服务和个体私营企业为主；据2009年统计，社会总产值2547万元，人均收入5971元。[1]2025年3月，社区获「2023年肇庆市最佳志愿服务社区」称号。[1]
