社播村是乐城镇下辖的行政村，位于省道264线旁，距乐城圩镇6公里、距高要城区45公里，面积约7平方公里。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年建高级社，属南源乡；1958年并入乐城公社，为社播大队；1983年大队改为乡，1987年转为村民委员会，1989年又改设管理区，1998年撤去管理区，设社播村委会，沿用至今。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网记载总人口1390人（未注明年份）、辖10个自然村；百度百科则作6个村民小组、1610人。村民以外出务工和种植玉桂、沙糖桔、佛手为生，百度百科称其2019年村集体经济总收入为208万元。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，社播村列入2018年度广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建名单；同年12月入选第一批国家森林乡村；2020年9月，被农业农村部推介为2020年中国美丽休闲乡村；2023年1月，司法部、民政部命名其为全国民主法治示范村（社区），属第九批；2026年1月，成为广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村之一。[1][2]
