北界村是广东省茂名市信宜市北界镇的行政村，位于镇中心区，今北界圩镇一带属这个村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
博雅地名网记述的一种说法是：清代这一带林木茂密，盗贼出没，常有拦路抢劫，被称作一条贼街。人们取「北」字有「败走」之意，把地方叫作北界，意在壮民威、慑贼胆，据说擒获进入此地的盗贼是要处死的，盗贼听到这个名字便心生畏惧。后来曾改名北胜，但叫开了的北界始终没有改过来。解放后这里成了圩镇。[1]
沿革[edit]
1952年称六问上乡第四村，随后经初级社、高级社阶段，1958年定名北界大队，1978年改设北界乡政府，1987年称村民委员会，1989年称管理区办事处，1999年起称北界村民委员会。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
全村分24个村民小组，在册464户，总面积5平方公里（该站未注明年份）。种水稻、香蕉、荔枝、龙眼，近年着力种植油茶。[1]
2021年12月，北界村获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
